Heavy Duty J-Bolt Pivot Hinge

Description:

- J-Bolt pivot hinge is a very heavy duty hinge specially made for heavy gates and doors.
- This hinge will swing a full 180 degrees if installed without a stop.
- Hinge is made up of a mounting plate (flange)which attaches to the wall or post and the J-Bolt arm which attaches to the gate.
- Hinge pivots on a steel ball bearing and includes a grease fitting to keep the bearing lubricated.
- Mounts with 3/8" lag screws or bolts (not included).
- The minimum gap between the post and edge of gate frame is 1-7/8" for SKU 783000 and 2-1/2" for SKU 783002.
- The maximum spread between the two nuts on the threaded part is as follows; for the 783000 it is 3", for the 783002 it is 4".
- The thread size on our SKU 783000 is 5/8 x 11. The thread size on our SKU 783002is 3/4 x 10.
- Weight rating is for 2 hinges.

- Super heavy duty weld-on pivot hinge for very heavy gates.
- Hinge measures 7" tall by 2.5" in diameter. Each weld-on plate measures 2.75" tall by 2" wide.
- The hinge pin is made from stainless steel, is 1.25" in diameter and rides on a 1" diameter ball bearing.
- Barrels are made from cold rolled carbon steel.
- Maximum gate weight is 3000 lbs per pair of hinges.
- Includes a "zerk" type fitting so that the hinge may be lubricated with a grease gun.
- Hinges are made in the U.S.A.
- These hinges are sold by the pair which means two hinges. A pair is normally what you need to hang one gate. A pair of these hinges weighs about 22 lbs.

Weld-On Hinges, Roller Bearing

- Pivot type welding hinge with roller bearings.
- Available in a 3" or a 4" size.
- The 3" size has a sealed roller bearing that measures 1-3/8" outside diameter by .622" inside diameter by .43" thick. Uses a 1/2" x 4" pivot bolt. Post side welding plate measures 1.5" x 3.5". Gate side welding plate measures 1.5" x 2.75". The spacing between the gate and post is 2.71".
- The 4" size has a sealed roller bearing that measures 1.849" outside diameter by .786" inside diameter by .55" thick. Uses a 5/8" x 5" pivot bolt. Post side welding plate measures 2" x 4.25". Gate side welding plate measures 2" x 3.25". The spacing between the gate and post is 4.25".
- Both hinges feature a 220 degree swing range. Both hinges use a nylon locking nut on the bottom of the pivot bolt.
- Made from steel base material.
- These hinges are sold by the pair which means two hinges. A pair is normally what you need to hang one gate.
- Weight ratings are based on using a pair of hinges.
- Hinges are made in the U.S.A.

- Weld-on barrel hinge is a lift off pivot hinge.
- Features a round barrel body.
- Made from steel base material.
- Hinge pin is made from stainless steel.
- Hinge pin pivots on a ball bearing.
- Features a "zerc" type grease fitting.
- The hinge pin is fixed in one of the barrels. In the photo to the left the barrel with the fixed hinge pin is the barrel on top.
- The "Hinge Gap" is the distance between the post and the gate after the hinge is installed.
- Each hinge has 2 weldable plates. Each plate measures as follows; SKU 782000 measures 1" x 2" x 3/8" and SKU 782002 measures 1-1/2" x 3" x 3/8".
- SKU #782000 use for gates up to 8-10 feet wide
- SKU #782002 use for gates up to 15-17 feet wide

- Spring gate pivot hinge is a double acting hinge. Hinge swings both directions and returns to center.
- Spring tension is adjustable.
- Hinge is not handed, works on both right and left hand doors.
- Hinge does not have the "hold open" feature.
- Maximum door width is 36”.
- Maximum door thickness is 2-1/2".
- Maximum door weight is 75 lbs.
- This hinge requires a minimum clearance of 4.5" from the bottom of the door to the floor and a minimum clearance of 1/2" from the top of the door to the door jamb.
- Picture to left shows one set (top and bottom pivot).
- Base material is malleable iron base.
- Screws are included.
