Rear Pivot Hinge

- The wrap around leaf measures 2" by 7/16" with a about a 1/2" distance to the wrap around.

- For SKU numbers 838250 to 838252, the pivot screw has a raised slotted head which measures about 3/4" in diameter and is 3/16" above the hinge surface. This large pivot hinge pivots on roller bearings. A pivot base is available for these 3 SKU numbers only. It is offered for purchase during checkout.
- For tall doors an intermediate pivot hinge is recommended to keep the middle part of the door in alignment. Our SKU's 838204 through 838206 will work with any of the pivot hinges in this section. Intermediate pivots are offered for purchase during checkout.
- The listed weight ratings are for a pair of hinges.

- The hinge is made of two parts; a spring loaded pin housing and a plastic bushing (pin receiver)
- Both hinge parts install by drilling a hole and press fitting them in place
- The spring loaded pin housing measures 1-3/8" long by 1/4" diameter. The pin diameter is 5/32" and projects 1/4"
- The plastic bushing is 7/16" in outside diameter
- Maximum door opening is approximately 140 degrees
- This hinge will work on door thicknesses ranging from 1/2" to 13/16"
- This hinge is made of plastic with a steel pin and spring.

- Tab adjustment screw is not included.
- PLEASE NOTE: This hinge is not a "self-closing" hinge. The spring is in the pin receiver and is meant only to keep the pin in place after installation.

Pivot Hinge, 3/8" Partial Inset Doors

- Pivot hinge is made for 3/8" partial inset doors (also known as 3/8" inset doors with a 3/8" lip)
- Made for use on 3/4" thick doors.
- Sold as a pair which includes a left hand hinge (marked with a "L") and a right hand hinge (marked with a "R")
- If the hinges are used on horizontally swinging doors the left hand hinge is used as the top pivot and the right hand hinge is used as the bottom pivot.
- The photo to the left shows the "Left Hand" hinge. The bottom leaf attaches to the edge of the face frame. The top leaf attaches to the back of the door.
- The pivot point of the hinge installs in a 1/4" slot cut in the lip of the door from the backside of the door.
- If you are replacing old hinges your hinge should have the number "1247" stamped on it (usually not visible when the hinge is installed).
