Description

  • The Blum Ecodrill (M31.1000) is a jig or template for drilling the 35mm cup in the back of a cabinet door for European hinges.
  • This drilling device is powered by an electric or cordless (18V or higher) power drill (not included).
  • This device is used by professional cabinet makers and amateurs alike with excellent results.
  • The device is adjustable for the cup depth and the bore distance (also known as the "tab").
  • It will also drill the 8mm holes if you are using dowels. If you are using wood screws it will mark the drilling location for you.
  • Adjustable for bore distances from 2mm to 8mm and will clamp on to various door thicknesses up to 40mm.
  • The Blum Ecodrill drills for the Blum European Hinge boring pattern (now standard among many European hinge manufacturers);
    • 45mm between screw holes
    • 35mm cup diamter
    • 9.5mm from center of screw hole to center of 35mm cup
  • Included with the Ecodrill (pre-installed) are;
    • 35mm bit
    • 8mm bits (2 each) for drilling the dowel holes or marking the wood screw locations
    • Two Torx bits which fit into your electric drill and drive the drill bits on the device

Blum, Inc. (Blum) warrants its lift systems, hinges and/or drawer runners,
contained in this product, but not the product itself, against defects in material
and workmanship for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the
products. This warranty is a warranty of replacement only. Blum specifically
does not warrant removal of the defective hardware nor installation of new
hardware. This warranty does not cover hardware which has been incorrectly
installed, exposed to excessive loads or otherwise used in any manner contrary
to its intended purpose. In the event the defective Blum hardware is obsolete or
has been discontinued, Blum reserves the right to replace the defective
hardware with a current offering. No guarantee of interchangeability is offered.

ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR

How long does it take to get my hardware once it's been ordered?

The delivery time depends on how far you live from our San Diego warehouse. Generally, your order will reach you in 1 to 5 business days. Shipments do not move on weekends and holidays.

Do you ship merchandise outside the United States?

At this time, we only ship to addresses in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. Some of your hinges are sold by the each and some sell by the pair. What is the difference?

When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.

I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?

Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
