Looking for a way to maximize hinge life and ensure compliance with ADA requirements? You have come to the right place. HardwareSource proudly provides a wide variety of door closers, which are ideal for hospitals, schools, and other high-use environments. Our selection of door closer hardware features an array of high-end products made by trusted manufacturers, such as DORMA and Hager, just to name a few.
A door closer is a mechanical device that is designed to close a door after it has been opened. According to current regulations, door closing hardware should be fitted onto any fire exits in your facility, in order to ensure that the exit closes correctly after being opened. To ensure compliance and confirm whether you are required to install door closing hardware in your facility, we recommend that you check with your local regulatory agency.
DORMA Door Closers
When it comes to smart access solutions, DORMA is at the forefront. Their dependable and versatile floor-concealed closing devices are ideal for center hung doors. Each closer features a double-acting and non-handed design that is compact to allow for installation in thin slab concrete subfloor construction. Every concealed door closer comes with the standard 74010 spindle, which provides a 3/4"" clearance between the bottom of the door and the floor surface. You can also special-order other spindles if a different clearance is desired. We also offer a terrazzo pan, which allows the closer to be concealed using your flooring material instead of the traditional metal plate. Call our office to learn more!

Want to turn any door into a self-closing door? We also carry hinge pin door closer hardware that can easily replace any existing hinge pin. This cost-effective, self-closing solution is easy to install and works for most doors that weigh 30 pounds or less. For doors that weigh more than 30 pounds, we recommend using a second hinge pin door closing device on the door’s bottom hinge for stability and adequate weight distribution.
