Description

  • Full surface reinforcing hinges can be added to doors troubled by sagging.
  • For medium and heavy weight doors subject to high frequency and abuse.
  • Provides increased reinforcement at the top corner of the door and jamb where stress can occur.
  • Available in two sizes; 4 inch and 4-1/2 inch. The 4 inch size is for doors with existing 4 x 4 inch hinges. The 4-1/2 inch size is for doors with existing 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch hinges. It is important that these hinges match your existing hinges so that the pivot points are aligned.
  • Order one hinge per door. Hinge is installed as a reinforcing hinge on the top part of the door.
  • Included with each hinge: 9 wood screws for wood frame and wood door, 9 jack nuts and short machine screws for hollow metal doors, friction wrench for jack nut installation, paper installation template, instructions. Also included are 4 grommet nuts for through-bolting if necessary and a spacer plate for the hinge leaf that attaches to the door.

How long does it take to get my hardware once it's been ordered?

The delivery time depends on how far you live from our San Diego warehouse. Generally, your order will reach you in 1 to 5 business days. Shipments do not move on weekends and holidays.

Do you ship merchandise outside the United States?

At this time, we only ship to addresses in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. Some of your hinges are sold by the each and some sell by the pair. What is the difference?

When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.

I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?

Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
