Solid Brass No-Mortise Hinge

$2689 Per Pair
Finish Name: Antique Brass

Description

  • These are high-quality, no-mortise hinges that are made from solid brass base material with plated finishes.
  • No-mortise hinges allow you to hang a door without mortising into the door edge or cabinet frame, leaving only a small gap between the two.
  • Makes for faster, easier installation.
  • Clean aesthetics create a more seamless look.
  • Plain ends, no decorative tips.
  • First, Install screws into elongated holes, then adjust the door before installing screws into the round countersunk holes. This makes for a perfect alignment without the frustration of a poor installation.
  • If installing in hardwood, always preform the screw holes using the same size steel wood screws before installing the brass wood screws, which are soft and prone to shearing.

Solid hinges

I use this hinges frequently on built-in projects for clients and they are a great product. Well made, not flimsy at all like some I’ve gotten from other manufacturers in the past. The adjustment in the hinges is also handy for inset door installs, and the variety of finishes is helpful when trying to match existing hardware in a client’s home.

Great hinges

I use these frequently on my jobs (I’m a custom woodworker, primarily focusing on built-ins). I make and install a lot of inset doors and these hinges are a nice solid product. As with any inset doors you have to measure and cut accurately to get a good finished look, but these hinges have some adjustment in them so you can tweak things if needed. Customer service is also great with this company, always a good experience with them. My only minor complaint would be that the color-matched screws (you get plain zinc screws and then ones matched to the finish of the hinge) tend to be a little weak. I’m running them into maple face frames so it’s less forgiving than pine or poplar, and even with pre-drilling I find they can still snap off here and there. It rarely happens with the zinc screws so I tend to use those whenever possible. It would be nice if some heavier duty color matched screws were available, but again it’s a minor issue.

How long does it take to get my hardware once it's been ordered?

Do you ship merchandise outside the United States?

I have a hinge that I am trying to replace but I need help identifying it. Can you help?

Yes! Please click here to visit our Hinge Finder page.

Some of your hinges are sold by the each and some sell by the pair. What is the difference?

When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.

I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?

Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
