The bolt-on gorilla hinge is a durable, reliable option for gates and doors of all types. The hinge measures 7" tall by 3 - 1/4" wide and has roller bearings. These are specifically made for doors and gates that are flush with their frames or posts. The bolt-on gorilla hinge will install easily and support medium and heavyweight doors and gates. It also features a grease fitting for ease of lubrication. When you receive these steel hinges, they'll be prime coated for painting. Use the steel bolt-on gorilla hinge on gates to the backyard, farm, warehouse, private property, dock, and other locations. You can also use them on door frames wherever they're flush with the door. We recommend using four Grade 5 or better 1/2" diameter bolts. Bolts must be of this caliber to achieve the listed weight rating. When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.

Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
