Do you need new hinges for security needs? Where other hinges may have fallen short, the flat-mount gorilla weld-on hinge, 1000 lb. option will keep doors securely mounted and safe from tampering. From trash enclosures to prison doors, these steel gorilla weld-on hinges are a perfect choice.
The flat-mount gorilla weld-on hinge, 1000 lb. door option is designed to be tough and tamper-proof. Both sides of the hinge are built to mount to flat surfaces, so they're ideal for outdoor trash bins, gates, prison doors, and high-security facilities and businesses. They're developed to reduce the space between the jamb or post and the gate for additional security. Two key features of these steel hinges are the high-security welded pin and hardened roller bearing design. Together, these ensure the hinges remain intact and functioning smoothly. If you happen to be searching for hinges for a jail or prison, inmates won't be able to uninstall or break these. The same applies to outdoor trash bins - wildlife like bears won't be able to tear into the trash and leave it scattered about your property. The flat-mount gorilla weld-on hinge, 1000 lb. option allows for a 180-degree swing, so you get the most out of your doors. The fitting enables re-greasing in the future for continued lubrication. These hinges come prime-coated, so you may finish them however you'd like. I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
