Description
Description
- Solid bronze latch for use in coastal areas or anywhere a rustic old world design is desired.
- The drop bar with knob (SKU 850060) measures 7.5" by 3.75".
- The drop bar without knob (SKU 850064) measures 6.5" by 4".
- Bronze is an old world material that does not deteriorate in coastal or other regions. The Bronze finish, however, is a "living" finish and will often change color over time, depending on it's usage and environment. This change is called a patina and is typically considered desirable.
- The use of a gate stop with this product is strongly recommended to protect the drop bar. A gate that slams in a strong wind can damage a bronze drop bar. The installation of a gate stop will protect the drop bar.
- Per the manufacturer: This drop bar can fail if a proper gate stop is not used. DO NOT use this drop bar as the only stop for your gate. This will void any warranty.
- Note: This product is for use only on one side of the gate. It does not include any hardware for the other side.

When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.
I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?
Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
